What are the benefits of an insulated garage door?

While we suggest a certified technician like ours undertake any major repairs, there are some steps you can take to maintain your door. They are:

• Perform visual inspections to look for damage or wear.
• Periodically lubricate your garage or overhead door track. Call us to determine the best methods for lubricating your specific door.
• Check the functionality of your door and opener each month. Test that the opener reversing works as expected. Test the photo eye to make sure it can detect movement as the door closes. Check that manually opening the door moves smoothly and remains open once lifted.
• Inspect the rollers every six months and replace any that are worn or broken, or call us and have us replace them.
• If you have a painted door, periodically paint the exterior to help protect it from the elements.

What safety features are included in a garage door?

If a garage door has two or more springs and one breaks, all springs should be replaced to maintain proper balance.

For commercial doors, you may be interested in a more durable spring that can withstand more opening and closing per year. Many springs have upgrades available to around 100,000 cycles.

We offer a 1 year limited warranty on workmanship. County Garage Door Co. warrants that the installation performed by its employees shall be free from defects in workmanship, under normal use and service, for a period of one year from the date of installation. Installations performed at Commercial, Industrial and/or Multi-family Dwellings will be warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of one year from the installation.
